Bi-Partisan Workshop Held to Overcome Division in Charlotte

Democrats and Republicans came together to talk through tough issues for an afternoon in Charlotte.

Mayor Pro Tem Julie Eiselt was involved in the bi-partisan event organized through Better Angels.

Better Angels is a citizen movement working to help Americans “break through the acrimony and distrust to find ways to talk with each other.”

Representatives from the Muslim, Jewish, African-American, LGBT, service members and both Democrats and Republicans were present at the event and encouraged to talk together about divisive issues in the community.
