Spots open for political discussion in Bolton

July 11, 2017

The Post Star, 7/11/2017

BOLTON — There is space open for those interested in attending a Better Angels program Thursday in the Topside Room of the Algonquin Restaurant.

The program will run from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the Algonquin at 4770 Lake Shore Drive.

Better Angels is a national, bipartisan movement aimed at bridging the "political divide by bringing Democrats and Republicans together for facilitated discussions that help people clarify disagreements, reduce rancor and stereotyped thinking, and find common ground."

The program will "talk politics with respect" and aims to understand various perspectives, organizers said.

Light refreshments will be served.

Organizers said in a news release that there is room for about eight "Republican-leaning" and eight "Democratic-leaning" participants, and there are still a couple of spots open on each side.

Those interested in attending should call David Lapp at 513-268-6233 or email him at
